Depuis l'émergence de l'épidémie de Covid-19, la transmission du virus par voie aérosol est étudiée avec attention. Cette étude a consisté à caractériser la concentration totale et la distribution en taille d'aérosols (de quelques nanomètres à plusieurs microns) émis par un large spectre d'instruments à vents et de chanteurs en déployant des instruments de mesure sur le terrain. L'effet cumulatif d'un orchestre et d'un ch?ur a également été évalué en se plaçant à trois distances différentes de la source allant d'un champ très proche à lointain, représentatives du risque potentiel de contamination inter-musiciens et inter-chanteurs, du chef d'orchestre et du 1er rang du public.

Since the emergence of the Covid-19 epidemic, the transmission of virus by aerosols has been studied with attention. This study consisted in characterizing the total concentration and size distribution of aerosols (from a few nanometers to several microns) emitted by a broad spectrum of wind instruments and singers by deploying instruments in the field. The cumulative effect of an orchestra and a chorus was also evaluated by measuring airborne particles at three different distances from the source, representative of the potential risk of contamination between musicians and singers but also of the conductor and the first row of the public, respectively.
