Abstract

In the case of radioactive gaz subject to the nucleation in the atmosphere (as iodine and ruthenium), a fraction of the newly formed nanometric clusters can remain unattached to the atmospheric aerosol particles in the vicinity of the release site. In the specific case of particles with diameter below 2.5 nm, no dry deposition velocity in environnement has been available until now. This study showed that, in the cases of neutral and stable atmospheric conditions, over  grassland, atmospheric dry deposition of particles with diameter below 1.3 nm was 19 ± 14 10-3 m s-1, and the  ratio was 6 ± 3 10-2.
